Why Reset?

The Reset Classic logo with two intersecting pickleball paddles, forming a heart.

The Reset Classic's mission is to be the most welcoming and friendly pickleball tournament for the new to intermediate player. This means a ton of fun, while still having some good competition.

The name “reset” refers to a type of pickleball shot to regain control of the net. We're bringing that same concept to our lives — a day of joy and resetting at the Joan Lorentz Park tennis courts (right next to the main Cambridge Public Library)! All are welcome.

Let's invite all that June has to bring: warm weather, Pride month, and so much more. Reset with us!

While this is a paid event, all ticket sales will go towards operating costs. Any surplus will be donated to the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School tennis teams. We will also accept any cash donations for the tennis teams on-site.

How to sign up

1. Determine your rating. This is an intermediate-only doubles tournament, split into low intermediate (3.0 - 3.5) and high intermediate (3.5 - 4.0). You can use your official rating or self assess using this guidance. We trust you!

2. Confirm your partner. Make sure that both partners are around the same rating. This tournament is open gender, meaning that both members can be any gender. Make sure to bring your own paddle, but we'll have a few extra on hand.
E.g. A 3.25 player partnering with a 3.0 or 3.5 player is great! A 3.25 player partnering with a 4.0 may not work out given the divisions.

If you don't have a partner in mind, reach out to theresetclassic@gmail.com and we can help you find one!

3. Register your team on theresetclassic.com (right here!) by Monday, May 27. A single registration per team is $40 (meaning $20/team member). You will confirm both partners' details on the checkout page.

4. Check your emails! We'll send out information to both team members as the date approaches. Send us a note at theresetclassic@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.
